‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’ 32 Tops Japan Book Hot 100

Taiki Kawakami, Fuse and Mitz Vah’s Tensei Shitara Suraimu Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) Vol. 32 rules this week’s Billboard Japan Book Hot 100, on the chart released June 18.

The comic adaptation of the popular “TenSura” light novel series claims the top spot, sweeping No. 1 in both brick-and-mortar and e-books. This marks the second time the title has ruled the tally, having previously done so on the Feb. 19 list.

Sota Nakajima’s 2nd Shashinshuu “THE SELF” enters at No. 2. The photo book shot entirely on location in Europe leads the e-commerce (EC) metric. Debuting at No. 3 is the latest volume of Saka Mikami’s Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku, which aired as an animated series last year, scoring across three metrics: No. 2 in brick-and-mortar, No. 5 in e-books and No. 20 in EC.

Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man Vol. 24 slips to No. 4 after debuting at No. 1 last week, but holds within the top 10. Mizuki Tsujimura’s Fire Dome, the new two-part novel marking the author’s 22nd anniversary debut, sees both volumes climb: Vol. 1 rises 10-9, and Vol. 2 climbs 18-12. Vol. 1 continues to lead the social media metric for a second consecutive week.
